Hospital Corporation of America Scholars Scholarship

The Hospital Corporation of America Scholars Scholarship is awarded to five (5) Tennessee State University first-time freshman students planning to major in Health Care Administration, Health Information Technology, Public Health, or Health Science in the College of Health Sciences. When combined with the Tennessee Hope Scholarship the HCS Scholars program provides full funding for on-campus (in state) tuition and fees, on-campus housing and dining, a stipend for textbooks and supplies, and a laptop computer. (a package value ~$18,000)
To be considered, high school seniors must apply for admission to Tennessee State University. An essay (1,000-word minimum) on why you are pursuing a career in Health Care Administration, Health Information Technology, Public Health, or Health Science and what you hope to accomplish in your career is required. Students must have a HS GPA of 3.25 or above; ACT Score of 23 or above or a SAT of 1130 or above.
