Arthur and Era Kinnard Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Arthur and Era Kinnard Memorial Scholarship was established by the nine siblings of Mr. and Mrs. Kinnard. Seven of the nine sibling graduates certified to be teachers and, collectively, family members have given over 175 years of service to the teaching profession. Beyond teaching, several of the siblings have been entrepreneurs and have given over 100 years of service to other professional areas including biological, historical and medical research, management positions in department store chains, professional counseling, psychological testing, positions in health care and correctional institutions, administrators in public school and institutions of higher education, and governmental services. Regardless of what they have done and will do in the future, they believe that they can never repay TSU for what it has done for them. As a small token of appreciation for their alma mater, they chose to open a scholarship account in their parents’ names to provide funds to assist other students who may need some help achieving their goals.
