Tiereney M. Edwards Memorial Scholarship

Tiereney Michelle Edwards Memorial Scholarship was established by her family, specifically Ms. Nancy M. Edwards as a memorial to Tiereney, affectionally known and “Tee Chelle”. Tiereney, a native Memphian, received an honors diploma from Raleigh Egypt High School and furthered her education by receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree from Tennessee State University in 2001. She later received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2006, also from TSU. She had a passion for young people, making sure that she assisted them in any way that she could. She was employed in the Admission Office, serving as the Coordinator of Recruitment at Tennessee State. She traveled the West Tennessee Region recruiting students for TSU. She always kept her phone line opened to those students who she recruited to assist them in the transition from high school to college. Tiereney’s family supported her in all her endeavors and as such decided to let her legacy live on Tennessee State University.
