Getahn Ward Endowed Scholarship

The Getahn Ward Memorial Scholarship is awarded to outstanding students majoring in Communications with a concentration in Journalism. This scholarship honors the legacy of Getahn Ward, a respected journalist and dedicated advocate for excellence in the field.

Eligible applicants must have completed a minimum of 8 credit hours within the Communications major and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation, including one from a Communications faculty or staff member who has either taught them in a course or supervised their work on a project or academic activity.

This scholarship supports students who demonstrate academic promise, professional potential, and a passion for storytelling through journalism.
